Raden Ichsan

Ichsan graduated with a degree in law from the University of Indonesia in 2011, and joined Assegaf Hamzah & Partners later the same year. Prior to joining the firm, he worked with another premier law practice in Jakarta.

At Assegaf Hamzah, Ichsan focuses his practice on M&A and capital markets, where he advises clients operating in the energy, mining, plantation and other resource-related sectors. Since joining the firm, he has worked on a series of drafting, research, and due diligence matters, as well as a number of acquisition transactions, including Wilmar International Ltd’s purchase of a 53.74% stake in a 22,000-hectare palm plantation venture in the Indonesian province of Papua from the Noble Group Ltd.

He has also worked on the drafting of a ground-breaking good governance module for Indonesia’s flag carrier, PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. In addition, he regularly prepares legal memoranda and advices for a range of blue-chip clients, including a number of recent opinions for General Motors Indonesia.

He is currently working on an upcoming IPO by a major Indonesian palm plantation company.
