Marcia Kristianto

Marcia earned her bachelor of law from Universitas Padjadjaran in 2014, joining Assegaf Hamzah & Partners soon after she graduated. She is currently waiting to be called to the bar after passing the Indonesian Bar Association examination in 2015.

Since becoming part of the Dispute Resolution practice group at AHP, Marcia has been involved in a wide range of litigation and mediation cases, arbitration proceedings and lawsuits at the District Court and Supreme Court levels. She is adept at drafting statements of claim, defences, legal opinions and memoranda as well as other documents related to the judicial process.

With International Law being her focus at university, Marcia has assisted in several aviation disputes. One of the first cases she was involved in at AHP was that of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) in 2015, where Angkasa Pura was accused by the Indonesian Competition Commission (Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha – KPPU) of operating a monopoly related to Indonesia’s first private jet terminal at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. This was followed by work on a number of other aviation disputes, including representing PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk as defendant in a civil lawsuit and advising PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) on a prospective cause of action.

Among other major cases she has currently been involved in are:

  1. Representing PT Indosat, Tbk. in a claim in the Administrative Court against the Ministry of Communications and Informatics in connection with underpaid spectrum frequency usage costs;
  2. Representing the majority of the heirs of the deceased owner of the Kedaung Industrial Group in an action to clarify inheritance rights;
  3. Representing the owner and CEO of PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk. in an arbitration proceeding before the Indonesian National Arbitration Board (Badan Arbitrase Nasional Indonesia – BANI).
