M. Insan Pratama

For six years prior to joining AHP, Insan worked as an in-house counsel with ExxonMobil in Jakarta. With extensive experience in the upstream, downstream, and midstream LNG industry, he not only benefits from a wide knowledge of the oil & gas regulatory regimes, but also has a deep understanding of the commercial context and industry drivers. As an active member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) and with a network that spans the oil & gas industry and the regulatory regime, including SKK Migas and the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources' Directorate General of Oil and Gas, he is deeply interested in the development of Indonesia's oil & gas industry and its governing legislation.

Insan earned an LL.M. in business & taxation law from the University of Cergy-Pontoise, France, with the support of a scholarship from France-based oil & gas giant, Total SA. Prior to that, he was awarded double bachelor's degrees, one in law from the Islamic University of Indonesia and the other in international relations from Gadjah Mada University. He is currently waiting to be called to the bar.

Insan is a member of AHP's banking, finance and projects team, and is currently busy on a financing project for a geothermal power plant, as well as providing legal services to a number of oil & gas clients.

Since moving to AHP, Insan has been busy on the following projects:
