Katia Nindita Kusumayudha
Katia came to Assegaf Hamzah & Partners as an intern in 2011 and was made an associate in June of the same year. During her time to date with the firm, she has impressed both colleagues and clients alike with her keen intellect, diligence and attention to detail. Prior to joining AHP, she worked for a year as a legal officer with a domestic bank.
Katia has proved herself to be a skilled researcher, and has produced a wide variety of legal briefings for seniors and clients, including an update on the latest developments in forestry law. Focusing principally on the capital market, banking, FDI, and antitrust practices to date, she has garnered significant experience of a wide variety of industries and sectors, including the mining, retail, and oil and gas industries. In her relatively short time at AHP, she has been involved in a significant number of high-profile mandates, and is currently engaged on the proposed IPO of a plantation company and a debt offering by a mining company.
A native of Bandung, West Java, Katia graduated from Parahyangan University, Bandung, in 2010 with a bachelor of law degree. While in law school, she participated in a wide range of student societies and activities, including helping to organize a number of law-related seminars and workshops.
She was also an avid participant in moot court activities while at college, and travelled to Washington DC in the USA as manager of the Parahyangan University team taking part in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Mootcourt Competition, International Round, in 2008
A passionate believer in gender equality, Katia is also a self-professed bookworm, and enjoys nothing more than relaxing in the company of a good book.
