Dafi joined Assegaf Hamzah & Partners in August 2017, having earlier worked with different institutions and firms like the Indonesian Center for Indonesian Law and Policy Studies, the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission, Legal Department of the International Monetary Fund, as well as Cardno Emerging Markets, providing advice to Indonesian legal institutions and judiciary on initiatives for the reform of Indonesian law and justice sector. 

In his practice at AHP, Dafi has been focusing on commercial litigation and dispute resolution through national/international arbitration, mediation, and civil/commercial court forums. He has also been handling cases, representing, as well as providing advisory service to different state institutions, state owned or private corporations and individual clients in the realm of criminal (particularly anti corruption), administrative (particularly good governance), and constitutional law.  

Dafi holds a bachelor of law degree from Faculty of Law University of Indonesia. He earned his masters degree from the University of Washington School of Law under Fulbright scholarship. Since January 2015 he has been enrolled in PhD program at Tilburg University Law School, the Netherlands. Dafi has been an active legal writer, one of the books that he wrote was titled “Indonesian Advocates, in Search for Legitimacy”, which has been regarded as one of main references in any discourse on Indonesian advocates. He had also written different articles on law and legal issues in different media like the Jakarta Post, Koran Tempo, and Hukumonline.com.
