Anastasia Pritahayu R.D.

Anastasia specializes in competition and regulatory and corporate restructuring. A cum laude economist graduate from the University of Indonesia, Anastasia joined the firm in October 2013, and has since buttressed the competition team with her thorough assessment from the economics perspective. She was the lead economist for Goodyear Indonesia in a cartel allegation before the KPPU (the Indonesian Competition Commission) and thereafter the appeal at the District Court and cassation at the Supreme Court. She was also the lead economist for the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry's Directorate General of Foreign Trade in appealing the KPPU's decision over cartel allegations at the District Court and the Supreme Court. Recently she was the lead economist for Yamaha Indonesia for a cartel allegation before KPPU and District Court appeal.

Anastasia's expertise in international cartel law was honed when she assisted Garuda Indonesia to become one of only two airlines to win against a cartel allegation made before the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, while she was still at Rizkiyana & Iswanto, a boutique competition law firm. During her time there, she was also entrusted to lead a multi-jurisdictional (19, to be exact) compliance assessment in aviation.

The passion Anastasia has for antitrust is evident. She spends a lot of time teaching and giving training in various competition workshops that are attended by business practitioners and law students alike; such workshops are either held for the public or tailored for her clients in the aviation, infrastructure, personal care, and automotive sectors.

Anastasia also provides competition advice ranging from dominance and vertical restraints, to market allocations in new system applications in automotive, telecommunications, digital content, leasing, aviation, pharmaceutical, energy, oil and gas, utility, banking, shipping, and broadcasting.

Some of Anastasia's international merger notifications to the KPPU and merger reviews include: Airbus Prosky/ Navtech Inc, XL/Axiata, SIAEC/Boeing, MUFG/ Engine Lease Finance and Beacon Intermodal Leasing, Archer Daniels Midland, and Ingram Micro/Brightpoint. She has been a key player for every competition audit performed by the firm (in the cement, flat glass, consumer goods, and refreshments industries).

Among her blue-chip clients are: Yamaha Motors, Mitsubishi Group, Garuda Indonesia, SC Johnson and JHHP, Unilever Indonesia, Asahi Group, Perusahaan Gas Negara, Holcim Indonesia, PT PLN (Persero), Beiersdorf, Sysmex Corporation, Indosat, and Surya Citra Media.
